The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in MPCK started in the year 2016 with an intake of 60 students The faculty strives to foster and encourage a teaching methodology that is both practical and theoretical in approach tuning to the requirements of the latest developments in research and industry in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The department has well established laboratories with sophisticated equipment supplementing the academic needs of the students. The lab facilities are being upgraded from time to time, to provide adequate opportunities for the students to learn and innovate.The core lab of electrical engineering department is equipped with a number of AC and DC machines.

The students are exposed to the best experimental practiceson different types of machines considering the industrial relevance. The power electronics lab familiarizes the students with power semiconductor devices and power electronics circuits.Laboratory exercises include the design of different Power Electronic circuits and simulation of the circuits using software tools such as MATLAB. The Department strives to create world class Engineers in Electrical sector, who can solve the challenges in the power sector.
